North Lanarkshire Council - Support for Playschemes

Summary

The fund provides non-financial support for community or voluntary organisations in North Lanarkshire which provide daytime activities for school-aged children during school holiday periods. Support includes:

  • Travel Passes which allow two adults and up to 8 children to travel free on designated SPT routes at designated times or Freedom Passes which allow free travel for groups providing activities for children with additional support needs
  • Council buses for groups that have additional support needs (e.g. a tail lift for wheelchairs)
  • Group insurance cover for organisations that don't have their own insurance cover
  • Playscheme Handbook giving practical help and advice.

Who can apply

To apply you must be a voluntary organisation or community group operating in North Lanarkshire. All volunteers and staff in your organisation working with children must undergo an enhanced disclosure check.
