Foundation Scotland - SSE Clyde (Dumfries and Galloway) Community Fund
Details
Provides funding to community and charitable projects in Carronbridge, Closeburn, Durisdeer, Johnstone, Kirkonnel & Kelloholm, Kirkmichael, Kirkpatrick Juxta, Moffat & District, Royal Burgh of Sanquhar & District, Thornhill, Wamphray and Wanlockhead Community Council areas.
The amounts available for distribution vary, depending on each area's previous funding commitments with some areas already full committed. Check the Foundation Scotland website for which areas are open.
Grants are available to legally-constituted community groups, non-profit organisations and registered charities supporting projects which:
- enhance quality of life for local residents
- contribute to vibrant, healthy, successful and sustainable communities
- promote community spirit and encourage community activity.

Who can apply
Micro grants from the Community Councils are available to individuals or non-constituted groups, as well as constituted groups, for activity which will benefit the local community.
Constituted community groups, not-for-profit organisations and registered charities working to benefit people in one or more of the 12 community council areas can apply for an award from the main fund. Organisations do not need to be registered charities.
When to apply
The fund normally operates two funding rounds per year. Future dates are to be confirmed.
