Details
The fund helps museums, galleries, libraries and archives throughout Scotland to make acquisitions for their collections, provided they are open to the public and not run for profit.
Grants may be made to assist the purchase of an object or group of objects that conforms to the applicant's collecting policy.
Funding is provided annually by Scottish Government and administered by National Museums Scotland.

Who can apply
Museums, galleries, specialist libraries and archives in Scotland are eligible to apply provided they are open to the public and not run for profit. Museums and galleries must be accredited under the Arts Council England (ACE) Accreditation Scheme, managed in partnership with Museums Galleries Scotland (MGS).
When to apply
There are no deadlines for applicants, decisions on applications are made on a case by case basis.
