Details
This programme helps museums and galleries purchase works of art and objects for their collections so members of the public can experience and enjoy them.
They help to fund works of art and other objects of artistic interest from antiquity to the present day. This includes:
- Objects of national and international importance
- Objects of significant regional interest
- Objects which will artistically enrich collections and support the expansion and development of new areas of collecting

Who can apply
They will consider applications from UK public museums, galleries, historic houses, libraries and archives that are open for at least half the week for at least six months of the year and at least provisionally accredited under the Arts Council Accreditation Scheme
When to apply
They have five application deadlines throughout the year, in January, April, June, September and November for main grants. Contact the Fund to find out the next deadline.
Applications for small grants can be submitted at any time and they aim to make a decision within 8 weeks.
