Details
Community Learning and Development staff support the dissemination of grants to community groups.
Grants are available to assist groups with running costs of Community Halls; assist Senior Citizens Groups with funding for mainland trips and support youth groups with purchasing equipment.
There are a range of grants available:
- Per Capita grants (2 different rates)
- Equipment grants
- Educational Youth Exchanges and Sports Competitions
- Senior Citizens and Residential Mainland Trips
- Performance to Village Halls/Community Centres

Who can apply
Any properly constituted, voluntary and locally based, community group or organisation can apply for a grant.
Mainland organisations can apply for a grant if the main beneficiaries of the grant are island based or if the project takes place within the Western Isles. See guidance notes.
