Edina Trust - Science Grant Scheme
Details
The Edina Trust provides non-competitive, easy-to-access grants, for state primary schools in certain regions of the UK, to be used to promote the teaching of science and gardening. Grants are available to primary schools to fund a science project.
Schools can use their grants for school science weeks, science visits including trips out of, or visits to, the school, purchase of science equipment, improving the school's grounds for science, gardening resources (maximum £550 of £800 grant), science subscriptions, and early years science ideas.
This is is a non-competitive grant scheme. Funding is set aside so that there is enough for every school and maintained nursery in eligible areas to get the full amount.

Who can apply
State-funded primary schools, special schools, local authority maintained nurseries (Non-PVI only, including stand-alone nursery schools and embedded nursery classes) and infant and junior schools in the areas listed.
When to apply
Open to applications. The fund is funding the following areas:
- North Lanarkshire
- Dundee City
- Inverclyde
- North Ayrshire
How to apply
Applicants should select their local authority area from the eligible areas listed on the Trust's website and download a grant form. Pre-populated forms with themed equipment lists are available, or applicants may create their own equipment list using a spreadsheet. Completed forms should be returned to the email address shown at the bottom of the form. Scanned hand-filled forms are also accepted.
