Summary
The Foundation supports civic voices to share their stories, learn and act together and influence the institutions that shape people’s lives.
They support projects that seek to facilitate constructive engagement between civil society and decision makers, including civil society participation in policy development and decision-making.
Applications must address one or more of their three priority themes:
- Health justice
- Climate justice
- Freedom of expression
All applications are required to demonstrate how they intend to integrate considerations of gender into their project design and implementation.

Who can apply
Applicants must be registered not for profit civil society organisations, have an annual income of less than £2 million. The applicant must be based in an eligible Commonwealth Foundation member country and the project should take place in an eligible Commonwealth Foundation member country.
