The Community Development Fund aims to make a real difference to the quality of life for people living in Shetland. Grants support Community Councils and Community Development Organisations to deliver services, activities and initiatives in relation to the following priority areas:
- children and young people
- families at risk
- older people
- transport
- safer & stronger communities
- reducing offending
- health inequalities & physical activity
- employment and economic recovery & growth

Who can apply
Eligible organisations are community councils, community development organisation constituted with an open constitution, organisations which have a constitution or set of rules which clearly defines your organisation’s aims, objectives and procedures.
When to apply
Applications for financial year 2024/25 are now closed. There were deadlines in April, May, and June.
