Bòrd na Gàidhlig - Colmcille
Details
Colmcille is a partnership between Foras na Gaeilge in Ireland and Bòrd na Gàidhlig in Scotland. It fosters communication and collaboration between the language communities of Scottish and Irish Gaelic.
The aim of this fund is to support community projects and individuals in both Scotland and Ireland that help enrich, use and strengthen the languages by working in partnership.
The fund is flexible in supporting most types of projects that seek to bring together Gaelic and Irish speakers, but they are particularly looking to support projects which:
- Promote the use of Gaelic or Irish through the arts
- Use heritage to bring Gaelic/Irish communities together and promote the status of the languages
- Bring young speakers of Gaelic and Irish together through events and school projects/trips
- Promote communication and sharing of knowledge and best practice among Gaelic and Irish speakers
