Postcode Lottery - Community Sports Programme
Details
The programme is delivering grants and support to organisations in England, Scotland and Wales. Grants will support a wide range of organisations that address local need, promote social inclusion, and strengthen communities in underserved areas.
Applicants must demonstrate that they are using sport for social purposes, focused on the following programme outcomes:
- Improving health and wellbeing
- Reducing inequalities
- Empowering communities
Applicants must demonstrate support to one or more of the following underrepresented groups; people experiencing poverty, women and girls, racially diverse communities, disabled people, rurally isolated, individuals from the LGBTQ+ community.
Funding offered is unrestricted.

Who can apply
Charities, community groups and not-for-profit companies. They will prioritise organisations with a turnover of £250,000 or below, and organisations that operate in and support people from areas of high deprivation (Indices of Multiple Deprivation 1-3).

When to apply
For organisations based in the South of England, West of England and Wales: Applications are now closed for 2026.
For organisations based in the East of England, North of England and Scotland: Final funding round open 24th September 9am – 1st October at 12noon (decisions by 12 November).
