Dunvegan Community Trust - Project Funding
Details
The Trust distributes the community fund generated by the Ben Akitil Wind Farm. Funding is available to local non-profit making groups that operate in the Dunvegan area, or benefit the residents of the Dunvegan (which also includes the surrounding townships of Harlosh, Feorlig, Vatten, Roag, Herebost, Horneval, Orbost, Greep, Claigan and Uiginish).
Individuals organising events or projects to the benefit of the community are also eligible to apply.
Applications are assessed on the following criteria:
- Community Impact
- Social Impact
- Cultural Impact
- Relief of Poverty and Isolation
- Disadvantage
- Environmental Impact
- Recreational

Who can apply
Projects must be located within the Dunvegan area (as defined by Dunvegan Community Trust Constitution) or benefit the residents of the Dunvegan Area and be:
- Constituted or Non-constituted Community Groups
- Voluntary Organisations
- Social Enterprises
- Private Individuals for Courses for advancing Education or Employment opportunities
The small project fund is open to individuals organising events or projects to the benefit of the community.
When to apply
Applications can be made at any time and are reviewed at the end of every quarter.

Application forms and guidance are available from the Trust's website. There are separate applications for grants under or over £1,000.
