The Fairer Aberdeen Fund (previously the Fairer Scotland Fund) is allocated annually by Aberdeen City Council. It is managed by the Fairer Aberdeen Board, made up of Community Planning Partners and Community Representatives, and its purpose is to tackle poverty and deprivation.

The Fairer Aberdeen Board is currently running a PB (Participatory Budgeting) event in Rosehill, Stockethill, Cornhill, Kittybrewster. Projects must:

  • Benefit the Rosehill, Stockethill, Cornhill, Kittybrewster community and the people who live there.
  • Help people feel less isolated and more included in their community.
  • Improve health and wellbeing.
  • Be fully costed, including maintenance and installation if relevant.
  • Funding must be spent by 31st March 2025

Ideas for projects of any size are welcome. Whether you want to create a community garden, organise a community event, youth activities, an afternoon tea for older people, arts and crafts, or a community clean up; set up a garden tool hire scheme or an intergenerational reuse and repair café; install picnic benches, plant some trees, shrubs or wildflowers – there is no limit but your imagination!
