The Gannett Foundation supports local organizations in communities served Gannett Co. Inc. (in the UK through the Newsquest Media Group which in Scotland includes The Herald, Evening Times, The Scottish Farmer and The National).
Grant priorities include education and neighborhood improvement, economic development, youth development, community problem-solving, assistance to disadvantaged people, environmental conservation and cultural enrichment. They particularly invite applications for specific items of equipment or materials.

Who can apply
Local registered charities within the circulation area of a Newsquest publication in Great Britain may apply as long as they have not received a Gannett Foundation grant within the last two years.
