The Rowing Foundation
Details
The Foundation gives grants to help organisations and clubs involved in on water elements of the sport of rowing. Most of grants go to UK Rowing Clubs but they may also support any club or organisation involved in “on water rowing-type” activities.
There are two grant streams:
- Equipment: Open to clubs, schools and organisations. The award must be for a specific purpose, not as a contribution to general funds. They prefer to encourage participation in rowing by the young or disabled through the provision of equipment, such as boats, sculls, oars and essential safety equipment. Coaching, revenue or any commitment requiring long term support are rarely approved.
- Refurbishment: open to any boat belonging to a UK rowing club which is used exclusively for Juniors or those in full-time education.
