The fund supports projects and initiatives that support the rural regeneration and sustainability of communities within the Ewe Hill Windfarm area and enhance the lives of those living and working in the area.
Applications are welcomed that fall into the following categories:
- educational projects
- projects which enhance citizenship and community development and sustainability
- projects promoting and advancing the arts, heritage, culture or science
- provision of community facilities
- provision of recreational facilities, including public participation in sport;
- projects protecting or improving the environment.

Who can apply
Applications must be from constituted groups (not individuals) and operate on a not-for-profit basis.
The Ewe Hill 16 Fund is open to applications from a wide area including Eskdalemuir, Lockerbie, Canonbie and Gretna.
The Ewe Hill 6 Fund is open to projects that will benefit the communities of Corrie, Hutton and Boreland, Langholm, Ewes and Westerkirk, Middlebie and Waterbeck and Tundergarth and surrounding areas.
When to apply
Deadlines for applications to the Ewe Hill 16 Fund closed on 31 July 2024. There are no stated deadlines for the Ewe Hill 6 Fund.
