The Trust supports a broad range of UK-based projects and activities of benefit to the General Public, with an emphasis on promoting a better understanding of the countryside.
Their aims are:
- The health, welfare and education of the general public
- The study and appreciation of agriculture, silviculture, ecology and land management
- The study and appreciation of land and estate management that encourages conservation of the countryside.

Who can apply
They prefer to pay grants to UK registered charities or Community Interest Companies. But individual applicants may be considered if the outcome benefits are clearly defined
When to apply
The Trustees meet once per quarter to review applications and allocate funding. Proposals not received in time for a meeting will be rolled over for consideration at the next one.
How to apply
Submit a letter of application to the Trust, no longer than two pages (single sided). They ask you to send three copies of your proposal with a stamped self-addressed envelope, along with a complete contact form and four copies with your proposals. Applications are NOT accepted via email.
