New fund helps organisations provide locally based solutions

A new fund has been launched to support grassroots organisations to provide locally relevant solutions to some of the core disadvantages faced by communities in Scotland. The Local Solutions Grants Programme, run by Foundation Scotland, is focused on locally based organisations who know their communities the best and can tailor their services to make a real difference to the lives of people they are supporting.  

Priority Areas

The programme will support applications of up to £5000 which are seeking to address at least one of the following:

• Homelessness
• Offending
• Substance dependency
• Mental health including loneliness and isolation
• Domestic abuse and violence

Projects could include the provision of preventative work through benefits advice and life skills, or support to people suffering from mental health issues or other complex needs.

Applications should be submitted via the online application form by 12 noon on 30 March 2020.
