The Nature Restoration Fund is a new £1 million programme funded by The Scottish Government. It will support a mix of urban and rural-focused projects, such as improving greenspace for outdoor learning, green active travel routes, planting of wildlife corridors and natural flood management.
Distributed by NatureScot, the Fund encourages applications from projects that restore nature, safeguard wildlife and tackle the causes of biodiversity loss and climate change across Scotland. The Fund has two themes:
Capital funding is available to support projects over £20,000 in value. Projects should address the key priority areas identified by the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services.
The closing date for application is midnight on 27 July 2021.
