Vacant and Derelict Land Investment Programme – Round 2 Now Open

Round 2 of the Vacant and Derelict Land Investment Programme (VDLIP) is now open. £5 million is available with applications being sought for 2022-23.

About the fund

  • VDLIP is a competitive fund with a two stage application process
  • Applications must be submitted by South Lanarkshire Council
  • Awards from this round must be fully committed by March 2023  
  • Eligible projects are those looking for a capital grant, to cover capital costs associated with unblocking long-term vacant and derelict land sites.
  • Applicants should provide evidence of how the treated site will be managed and maintained to attract further investment (community or development) to secure and sustain its productive future use.
  • The deadline for completed Stage 1 applications 5pm 12th November 21
  • Stage 1 decisions will be communicated in early December
