Workplace Equality Fund 2022: Third sector directory

Posted on 20 December 2021 by Christie McAlpine in Funding Statutory

Advice Direct Scotland (ADS) want to hear from third sector organisations and groups who are interested in applying for the Workplace Equality Fund 2022.

The Workplace Equality Fund (WEF) was launched in 2018 to support employers in addressing long standing barriers that particular groups face in entering and progressing in the labour market. The fund supports partnerships between third sector organisations and private/public sector organisations who wish to carry out multi-year projects endeavouring to reduce employment inequalities and challenges within the workplace, in particular, for the following priority groups:

  • women (including women returning to the workforce after a career break)
  • the over-50s workforce
  • disabled workers
  • minority ethnic workers
  • workers experiencing gender-based violence
  • workers experiencing symptoms of the menopause
  • workers experiencing social isolation and/or loneliness
  • veterans/spouses of veterans

Expected to open in January 2022, registered charities will be eligible to apply for a grant between £20,000 - £75,000 if they can partner with a private or public sector organisation for the purposes of delivering positive employment outcomes for the priority groups mentioned above.

To help facilitate potential partnerships between registered charities and private/public sector organisations, ADF hope to publish a directory of interested third sector organisations. If your organisation is interested in being included in the directory, please contact eilidh.harrison@advice.scot at Advice Direct Scotland for more information.
