New Funding Opportunity: Regeneration Capital Grant Fund 2023/24

South Lanarkshire Council anticipate an imminent call from the Scottish Government for stage 1 applications to the Regeneration Capital Grant Fund support 2023-24.

Please find programme information below and details on South Lanarkshire Council’s process for inviting expressions of interest for the fund.

The Regeneration Capital Grant Fund (RCGF) is a Scottish Government managed fund delivered in partnership with COSLA and supports locally developed regeneration projects that involve local communities, helping to support and create jobs and build sustainable communities. Applications are open to all Scotland’s local authorities.

Two-stage assessment:

  1. Stage 1 Deadline: June 2022 TBC 
  2. Stage 2 Deadline: October TBC
  • Awards: £250K - £1M + (100% funding available but match is strongly recommended)
  • Eligible Activity: Capital only
  • Start Date: Successful projects must be underway by December 2023

Successful projects will:

  • focus on areas of high levels of deprivation and disadvantage
  • demonstrate clear community involvement
  • deliver large scale transformational change with strong regeneration outcomes
  • encourage additional investment and address market failure
  • demonstrate how the community have been involved in the development of projects

In anticipation of the Regeneration Capital Grant Fund opening Spring 2022, South Lanarkshire Council are seeking Expressions of Interest for the 2023-24. 

The South Lanarkshire Council deadline for Expressions of Interest is 5pm on 28th March 2022 and should be submitted to FundingAndDevelopment@southlanarkshire.gov.uk

EOIs should include the following:

  • Project outline (max. 150 words)
  • Location of project site (including postcode)
  • Indicative total project cost
  • Details of any match funding identified (prospective and secured)
  • Details of site ownership
