Jeans for Genes Grant Programme: Opens 1 September

Posted on 25 August 2022 by Christie McAlpine in Funding

The annual Jeans for Genes campaign raises money and awareness, uniting schools, organisations and individuals to help fund and support incredible charities and groups all over the UK that provide vital services to the genetic condition
community.

This year, in response to what was learned from the funding approach during the pandemic, the Jeans for Genes Grant Programme has been radically revised.

The new Grant Programme will provide a blend of core and project funding. By supporting the resilience and sustainability of organisations serving the genetic condition community the Programme hopes to achieve their ambition that every individual in the UK living with a genetic condition and their families, are able to access the appropriate support at the time they need it so that they feel supported, valued and included.

Lynn Mumford, Jeans for Genes CEO says:
“There are currently around 6,000 identified genetic conditions – some well-known, others incredibly rare but all present
their own challenges. The charities and patient groups working within the genetic condition community are a vital lifeline to affected individuals and their families and I am very pleased that we can now invite applications to the Jeans for Genes grant programme. We encourage all eligible organisations to get in touch”.

How to apply

Application documents will be available to download from 1 September 2022.
