Unrestricted grants for social justice charities
Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) have launched The Keystone Fund which aims to enable locally and regionally-focused charities working towards social equity to become more agile in their support for their communities. The Fund will provide a programme of unrestricted grants, networking and access to advice webinars and toolkits.
Grants of between £5,000 and £50,000 are available for UK registered charities addressing social injustice or working towards social equity to build a fairer society for all, in particular:
- Refugees in the UK (around 50% of the Fund will be focused on organisations supporting refugees in the UK)
- People experiencing racial inequity
- People experiencing digital poverty
- People at risk of homelessness
- Deaf and disabled people
- LGBQT+ people
Priorities of the fund are supporting organisations to:
- Adapt their ways of working (e.g. digital capability, staff and volunteer training, operational challenges)
- Bolster their core building blocks (e.g. governance, strategic planning, capacity building)
There is a stage stage application process. The deadline for Stage One applications is midnight on 23 November 2022.
