North Ayrshire Council has a number of Charitable Trusts for particular towns and villages which are intended to provide assistance to those in need. Priorities vary by each area.

North Lanarkshire Council - Community Grants

This grant scheme exists to provide small amounts of funding, within a short timescale, to promote projects or activities which bring community benefit.

Novum Trust

The Trust supports new work with the provision of small short-term grants to initiate projects in Christian action and research which cannot readily be financed from other sources.

Parkinson's UK - Physical Activity Grants

Supports the development of more physical activity opportunities for people with Parkinson's in their local area that are fun and enjoyable.

Peter Samuel Charitable Trust

This UK-wide trust has a number of areas of interest, including heritage, forestry/land restoration and improving the quality of life for those living in south central Berkshire, East Somerset and the Scottish Highlands.

Plum Trust

The Trust aims to relieve poverty and suffering, work to advance education and carry out any tasks beneficial to the community which, in law, are charitable. The Trust tends to favour organisations in the East of Scotland.

Port of Aberdeen - Community Benefit

The Port of Aberdeen supports the local community through sponsorship of local charities and community groups. They partner with local charities and community group to provide project funding, as well as support with time, resources, or equipment.

Pump House Trust

Supports wide range of charitable activity but are particularly interested in community development, environmental, women’s and youth issues with a view to including social inclusion at all levels.

Queensberry House Trust

The Trust tends to focus on supporting the elderly in the Lothians. The Trust's objects are widely drawn but the trustees generally give where the need is shown and the donation would make a significant difference to the charity concerned.
