Community Building Grants are aimed at charities helping people and communities in Scotland who are experiencing (or at risk of experiencing) poverty, trauma or both.

Improving Lives aims to support activity that helps people overcome difficulties and become more resilient.
This funding aims to support communities to improve the places in which they live and the wellbeing of those most in need. Projects should be people-led, connected, and strengths-based.
BBC Children in Need awards grants each year to organisations supporting disadvantaged children and young people under 18 in the UK. Projects can either work directly with children or seek to improve their social and physical environments.

The Foundation supports a broad range of organisations and activities that share a commitment to making a positive impact to the lives of the communities in which they work, and that are driven by a desire to achieve excellence.
Supporting projects in the community council areas of Huntly, Strathbogie and Tap O Noth, and Cabrach that are providing help to vulnerable people in difficulty due to the pandemic, or organisations that are facing losses.
Funds applications which benefit the residents of the Community Council areas of Abbey St Bathans, Bonkyl & Preston, Duns, Gavinton, Fogo & Preston, and Lammermuir.

The fund covers several communities including Crathes, Durris, Drumoak, Banchory, Finzean, Strachan, Torphins, Lumphanan and Inchmarlo. Priorities include participation in education, sport and arts, social inclusion, sustainable developments.
The Foundation focuses on work which will make a lasting difference to people’s lives rather than simply alleviating the symptoms or current problems.
