The Orcome Trust is administered and located in Newhall on the borders of Midlothian and Tweeddale. Preference is given to smaller charities and projects that benefit the general geographical area as well as further afield for worthwhile causes.

The Member Choice Award allows Scotmid members to support community projects with votes earned from in-store purchases.

South Lanarkshire Council - Community Grants

Organisations running local gala events and summer festivals can apply for financial help. Also supports play schemes run by parents and volunteers.

South Lanarkshire Council - Renewable Energy Fund

Funds are available for capital projects which improve quality of life and economic prosperity of communities within 10km of a participating renewable energy development (42 participating windfarms - see website for details).

South Lanarkshire Charitable Trust comprises 50 charitable trusts funds/bequests established under previous local authorities. Each trust fund/bequest is restricted for the purpose it was set up.

SSE - Clyde Extension Community Fund

Supports community-focussed projects in the community council areas of Duneaton, Biggar, Symington and Quothquan & Thankerton.

The community fund is for projects within the Clyde wind farm area, up to around 15km from the wind farm near Abington.

Tenovus Scotland - Small Pilot Grants

Tenovus Scotland makes a key difference to Scottish medical research development through medical research grants and scholarships.

The Pastoral Care Trust - St Nicholas Care Fund

Applications will be considered from organisations and community groups providing direct benefit to communities for all people in need in and around Glasgow.
