North Ayrshire Council has a number of Charitable Trusts for particular towns and villages which are intended to provide assistance to those in need. Priorities vary by each area.
RS Macdonald Charitable Trust - Small Grants
The trust's charitable objects are: Tackling Child Abuse & Neglect, Visual impairment, Neurological conditions, Animal welfare, and Medical research.
The MacRobert Trust - Monetary Awards
The monetary awards are split into four categories: Cromar, Alastrean, Douneside and Lady MacRobert. Each one has its own specific governance arrangements and internal processes. Lady MacRobert awards are currently closed.
The Stevenson Trust
The trustee’s principal aim is to provide financial support to individuals, groups and organisations which operate in Langholm and the surrounding area or for the benefit of its inhabitants although national charities are also supported.
Auchterarder & District Community Trust
Charitable groups and organisations within the Auchterarder & District Area (Auchterarder, Aberuthven and Glendevon) can apply for funding for a wide range of projects that have a direct impact on the local area.

Grants are intended to offer support to provide or maintain cultural, social, welfare, recreational or sporting facilities. They can also assist projects that are in the interests of the community or the environment.
Endrick Trust
Supports charities based and working in the Greater Glasgow postcode area. General themes supported are prevention or relief of poverty, advancement of citizenship or community development and other analogous purposes.
