Dumfries and Galloway Council have commited to help communities tackle poverty and inequalities through their four Area Committees: Annandale and Eskdale; Nithsdale; Stewartry; Wigtown.
Dumfries and Galloway Council can provide financial assistance to the third sector (voluntary and community organisations) who can apply to one or more of four Area Committees: Annandale and Eskdale; Nithsdale; Stewartry; Wigtown.
Grants are available to support individuals and clubs from Dumfries and Galloway who are taking part in sport. Grant funding is awarded towards sports equipment, training for coaches and volunteers, travel and competition expenses, clothing/kit expenses,
To mark special events or achievements, Dumfries & Galloway sometimes provides hospitality in the form of a reception, light refreshments or a presentation.
The fund provides organisations with financial help to organise events and activities for residents in their area.

The Major Events Strategic Fund has been introduced in recognition of the vibrant role festivals and events play in our regional quality of life and their value in the promotion of tourism and economic regeneration.
The Dumfries and Galloway Local Employability Partnership is seeking project proposals from community groups, charities, social enterprises, public sector bodies and private employability providers who can provide employability support for people aged 25+
The Community Events Fund will encourage the vibrant voluntary events sector to start planning smaller scale events. Eligible festivals and events projects taking place between 1 April 2022 and 31 March 2023 can apply.
The purpose of Dumfries and Galloway Regional Arts Fund is to increase the volume and impact of high quality arts projects for the public and economic benefit of Dumfries and Galloway.
Dumfries and Galloway Regionwide Coastal Benefit Fund has been established to deliver direct benefit to coastal communities across Dumfries and Galloway. Grants will be for new projects with can demonstrate tangible benefits to coastal communities.
Dumfries and Galloway Council has established the Regionwide Community Fund, which is a source of funding open for applications from community groups and projects anywhere in the region.
