The Veterans’ Foundation provides grants to eligible organisations that provide assistance to serving and former members of the armed forces community, operational qualified seafarers and their immediate families.

The range of charities and organisations supported is extensive and covers every aspect of social care and includes but is not limited to: homelessness, employability, financial disadvantage, disability, welfare issues, mental health, marriage guidance, care during old age and confidence building.

Who can apply

All registered charities and other organizations that support the armed forces community (veterans, serving service people and immediate dependants), including Merchant Navy veterans who have served on operations, may apply.

When to apply

Small grants: This is a rolling funding programme, with no specific closing date.

Standard and Salary grants: Upcoming deadlines are:

• 21 July 2025 - for a decision in September 2025
• 8th October 2025 - for a decision by end of December 2025

Major grants: currently closed
