Western Isles Development Trust - Small Projects Fund

Details

The purpose of the trust is to support the regeneration and development of the Outer Hebrides through disbursement of Community Benefit secured from the local deployment of Renewable Energy installations.

Applicants should meet at least one of the WIDT's objectives:

• advancement of citizenship and community development
• prevention or relief of poverty
• advancement of environmental protection or improvement
• advancement of education
• and advancement of the arts, heritage, culture or science including the Gaelic language.

Who can apply

Applications are invited from properly constituted community groups only, whose application meets the WIDT's objectives.

When to apply

The fund runs on an annual cycle, opening each September, with applications considered at Board meetings until the funds are exhausted. Applications submitted after the latest cut-off go to the November meeting if funds have not been exhausted. Once the fund has been expended it will close until 1st September 2027.

How to apply

Applicants complete the application form, available to download from the funder's website, and email it to the funder together with a copy of their constitution and a recent bank statement.
