Details
SOLWEC and Auchrobert Community Fund aims to support communities in the vicinity of West Browncastle, Nutberry and Auchrobert wind farms to pursue projects which reduce greenhouse gas emissions or improve the environment and benefit the people who live in the immediate vicinity of the windfarms.
Funding priorities are:
- Projects to reduce greenhouse gas emissions including improving energy efficiency; installing micro-renewables on community buildings; active and low emission travel.
- Projects to support conservation, biodiversity and wildlife.
- Projects which provide environmental education and information.
Premium information is available exclusively to SCVO members and supporters

Who can apply
The fund is available to constituted groups in South Lanarkshire, East Ayrshire and East Renfrewshire with priority given to constituted groups in a 10 mile radius of the three Wind Farms.
When to apply
Currently closed but due to reopen in late autumn 2024 with the next batch of awards being made in March 2025.
