The Scottish Government - Just Transition Fund
Details
The Just Transition Participatory Budgeting Fund supports eco friendly sustainable projects across Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and Moray. The fund is delivered by a partnership of ACVO TSI, Aberdeenshire Voluntary Action, TSI Moray, NESCAN Hub, Money for Moray and Scottish Community Development Centre (SCDC).
Applications must describe how they will deliver against at least two of the Scottish Government’s Just Transition priorities, one must be from the 'Social' category and one must be from the 'Environmental' category. Full details on priorities can be found on the Fund website.
Applications must ensure that, wherever possible, all capital resources purchased/procured are done so as locally as possible - to benefit the local economy and avoid longer transportation costs and associated emissions.
Previous projects have included energy measures and retrofitting, green jobs, community gardens and food growing, sustainable travel, and creating and restoring greenspaces. More examples of projects funded through the first round can be found on the Fund website.
