Supporting Scotland’s vibrant voluntary sector

Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations

The Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations is the membership organisation for Scotland's charities, voluntary organisations and social enterprises. Charity registered in Scotland SC003558. Registered office Caledonian Exchange, 19A Canning Street, Edinburgh EH3 8EG.

Details

The Foundation supports projects that help improve the lives of individuals and communities experiencing disadvantage all across Scotland. Their support can be split into three areas: reducing isolation, reducing inequalities, and improving health and wellbeing.

They fund community groups and small charities who are struggling to secure funds through mainstream funders or who have unsuccessfully explored all the statutory sources of funding.

The Hillcrest Foundation is looking to fund projects that work to improve the lives of people in Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Fife, Perth and Kinross, Aberdeen and Angus. This year’s focus is to support as many people as possible disadvantaged by the cost of living crisis, and your application should clearly demonstrate this.

They will provide grants towards revenue/unrestricted core costs and project costs/specific activities.

Applications must demonstrate how they meet at least two of the Foundation's values:

  • Inclusion
  • Respect
  • Excellence
  • Innovation
