Aberdeenshire Council Winter Challenge Fund
Details
The Winter Challenge Fund is part of Tackling Poverty and Inequalities Cash First approach which not only supports those in crisis, but ensures there is an integrated approach to accessing services to ensure sustained outcomes. The goals of this fund are to:
- Increase access to support for those affected by the rising cost of living through developing a Wellbeing Fund within social landlords and trusted community partners.
- Help reduce homelessness, debt and increase household income.
- Reduce personal debt and increase access to financial support.
- Increase Health & Wellbeing for those involved in the programmes.
Funding can also be used to increase stock, support the increased need for essential items and deliver a range of support packages to those effected by the rising cost of living. These packages could be winter essential boxes, fuel top ups, food packages and energy saving essentials such as slow cookers.
