The Coronation Food Project grants programme provides funding opportunities to eligible organisations, as part of their efforts to drive innovation, collaboration and expansion in support of the Project’s overall aims.

Applications to the grants programme must demonstrate how the funding would be used to address one or more of the following:

• Tackle food insecurity
• Enhance capacity and capability in the food redistribution system
• Build a more sustainable food system

As well as seeking out innovative ideas which could change the way we think and do things in the future, the fund will also support charities in need of funds just to keep doing more of what they already do well.

Applications from areas of deprivation, or those that can show how the project will benefit those most in need within an area of wealth disparity will be prioritised.

Who can apply

To apply for a grant from the Coronation Food Project, your organisation must:

• Have non-profit status or be able to evidence a clear social purpose in the organisation’s governing documents.
• Have no more than one year of unrestricted operating reserves.
• Have an annual income of between £50,000 and £4m, as per your last published accounts
• A Board of at least three unrelated Trustees.
• Demonstrable track record relevant to the project you would like funding for.
• Be able to provide two references.
