From 2026, the Wesleyan Foundation will focus its grants on supporting the wellbeing of the professions it serves - doctors, dentists and teachers - at a time when the need for meaningful, targeted support has never been greater.

Across healthcare and education, evidence shows increasing levels of stress, burnout and mental ill‑health. Many professionals are experiencing significant pressure, with growing calls from professional bodies for stronger, more coordinated wellbeing support. These challenges affect not only individuals, but the sustainability of the professions themselves.

In response, the Wesleyan Foundation is evolving its approach to funding. It will prioritise long‑term charity partnerships that are directly improving wellbeing and helping to prevent burnout within customers’ professions. By focusing its funding in this way, the Foundation aims to create a deeper, more lasting impact on this important issue.
