Consortium - LGBT+ Fund: Collective Nurture Fund

Details

The Consortium of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Voluntary and Community Organisations, in partnership with The Funding Network and Give Out, is pleased to announce a new fund supporting LGBT+ global majority community groups and organisations across the UK. This funding is made possible through City for LGBT+, an annual live crowdfunding event, with a total of £30,000 available to distribute.

Consortium recognises that organisations supporting LGBT+ global majority communities are often underfunded and under-resourced, yet play a vital role in connecting and supporting people who may feel marginalised within the wider LGBT+ community. Research shows that smaller LGBT+ global majority organisations are delivering significant impact, supporting large numbers of people and achieving outstanding results on limited budgets.

The aim of this fund is to ensure LGBT+ global majority organisations are resourced and equipped to continue delivering their essential work and strengthening their communities.

Who can apply

Applicants should be a UK based non-profit group or organisation that are majority led by and for LGBT+ people of the global majority.

This includes groups that support either all LGBT+ global majority people or LGBT+ people of a particular heritage/ethnicity from the global majority. The fund appreciate that LGBT+ refugee and asylum seeker organisations may not always be majority run by LGBT+ people of the global majority due to the trauma and stress they may have endured, English not being their first language or not having settled status yet.

In this instance, the group applying will need to demonstrate how they are strongly informed by the LGBT+ people of the global majority they support. LGBT+ Traveller organisations are eligible to apply for the fund.

You do not need to be a member of Consortium to be eligible to apply. Groups who have been past recipients of grants from Consortium that have fulfilled all monitoring requirements and organisations who are currently in receipt of a grant from Consortium are eligible to apply.
