The Together for Service Families open programme will award grants to reduce the impact of service-related separation and relocation for families of serving personnel and reservists. It’s open to registered charities, CICs, local authorities and armed forces bases.

Under the Together For Service Families open programme, the Trust will award grants to projects that reduce the impact of service-related separation and relocation for families of serving personnel and reservists. These may be pilot projects, or continuation or extension of existing work.

Your project will need to meet at least one of the following outcomes:

• Families feel better equipped to manage and reduce the impact of service-related separation, resulting in improved mental health, wellbeing, resilience, relationships and social connections.
• Families feel better equipped to navigate and reduce the impact of relocation, enabling them to access support, build social connections, reduce isolation and settle successfully into new communities.
• Organisations have a stronger understanding of what prevents, reduces or mitigates the impacts of service-related separation or relocation for families and are sharing that learning effectively with other organisations.

Projects may focus on separation, relocation, or both. This should depend on the needs you have identified.

Who can apply

UK-based registered charities, CICs, local authorities and armed forces bases may be able to apply.

Charities and CICs must have been registered in the UK for at least 12 months. Organisations without substantial recent experience of supporting armed forces communities can still apply if you deliver your project with an organisation that has this experience. Projects can take place in the UK or overseas.
