Details

A new Community Support Fund is now open for applications, linked to the development of the Scottish Prison Service’s HMP Glasgow project. The fund aims to provide support for local charities, community groups, social enterprises and organisations working in communities surrounding the new prison site.

As part of this wider commitment to social value and community wellbeing, the HMP Glasgow Project Community Support Fund has been established to help local organisations improve existing services, develop new opportunities and support initiatives that have a positive impact on children, communities and tackling poverty.

Who can apply

The fund will prioritise organisations and groups working within communities close to the HMP Glasgow and HMP Barlinnie sites, including:

  • Barmulloch
  • Blackhill
  • Germiston
  • Petershill
  • Provanmill
  • Riddrie
  • Royston

When to apply

Now open. Applications will remain open throughout the delivery of the HMP Glasgow project until June 2028, with funding awarded at regular intervals.
