Henry Smith Foundation - Domestic Abuse - Counselling

Details

Through this fund, the Foundation wants to help sustain access to specialist domestic abuse counselling. They will provide five-year grants to organisations that have a deep understanding of domestic abuse and the needs of victim-survivors, enabling them to continue providing counselling that helps people recover and rebuild their lives.

With this fund, the Foundation wants to ensure that specialist organisations can continue to offer longer-term counselling that supports survivors in their recovery. By providing sustained, flexible funding, they aim to strengthen organisations’ resilience and financial stability.

Who can apply

Specialist domestic abuse organisations with at least three years’ experience delivering counselling to victim-survivors of domestic abuse. Counselling services should be:

  • Person-centred
  • Longer-term (a minimum of 12 sessions)
  • Holistic
  • Trauma-informed

They will be ring-fencing 5 grants for organisations that are providing this support to children and/or young people.
