The Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations is the membership organisation for Scotland's charities, voluntary organisations and social enterprises. Charity registered in Scotland SC003558. Registered office Mansfield Traquair Centre, 15 Mansfield Place, Edinburgh EH3 6BB.


The AEB Charitable Trust presently makes grant to charities in support of the following: The promotion of interests of wildlife, ecology and nature; The advancement of health, in particular, research into and treatment of Alzheimer's and the care of the confused elderly; The support of museums and galleries, music and the arts in Scotland; assistance to the infirm, the emergency services, disabled and retired members of the Armed Forces. The Trust favours organisations in the Lothians and Borders areas.

When to apply

Applications should be submitted by email or in hard copy no later than 30 November. Trustees meet once a year in Spring to decide on grant applications for the year and normally pay grants prior to 31 March .

Please note that applications are not acknowledged on receipt. Successful applicants will be contacted after the Trustees have held their annual meeting.

How to apply

Applications should be made in writing on no more than 3 sides of A4 via the online application form. If your charity does not have access to email, a hard copy application may be sent to the address above.
