The Trust supports organisations that:
- Provide Hospice Care – core funding of hospices is a priority.
- Provide support for the Homeless
- Promote Health and Well-Being – core funding for areas such as family support eg Home Start, children and young people counselling services, suicide prevention, specific carers support, cancer support, prisoner support and rehabilitation,community centres, food banks and debt advice.

They aim to review applications on a rolling monthly basis subject to trustee availability.
The Albert Hunt Trust plans to spend its entire resources by 2029. The Trustees will continue with their current grant making strategy in the short term whilst developing a strategy for the phased final distribution.
