The following categories of funding are supported by The Foundation:

  • Youth Support: Raising the aspirations of disadvantaged young people and supporting youth projects through education, the arts, sport and adventurous activities.
  • Disabled Support: Improving the quality of life of those living with a physical or mental disability.
  • Supporting the Elderly and Terminally Ill: Improving the quality of life of the elderly and those receiving end of life care.
  • Miscellaneous Support: Supporting other social welfare projects such as those for carers, the homeless and ex-offenders.

Who can apply

UK registered charities with an annual income below £1 million. Applicants must be able to demonstrate quantifiable outcomes to beneficiaries, and must not have received a grant from The Hedley Foundation within the last two years.

When to apply

The Trustees meet regularly to consider applications. There are no specific deadlines; applications can be submitted at any time. Applicants who do not hear within four months of submission should assume they have not been successful.
