Details

The Gannochy Trust provides funding to registered charities, primarily working in Perth and Kinross, but also to inspire and develop young people throughout Scotland. The Trust has different eligibility criteria for charities based or working in Perth and Kinross than for those across the rest of Scotland.

For Perth and Kinross the aims are:

  • To improve the quality of life
  • To improve the availability or quality of the built and natural environment for wide community use
  • To develop and inspire children and young people (From age 0 to 21 inclusive)

For the rest of Scotland they are:

  • To develop and inspire children and young people (From age 11 to 21 inclusive)

Rest of Scotland funding is currently restricted to existing or recent Rest of Scotland grant holders. Funding within Perth and Kinross is unaffected by this restriction.

Who can apply

To apply for funding from the Gannochy Trust you must be a charity registered with the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR).

When to apply

Trustees meet three times per year to consider applications, with an application deadline ahead of each grant-making meeting. Applications for the rest of Scotland are only accepted from existing or recent Rest of Scotland grant holders. The Youth Panel Fund has its own separate deadlines.

How to apply

Applications for work in Perth and Kinross are made through the funder's online application portal. Eligible Rest of Scotland applicants should contact the grants team for further instructions. Capital funding uses a staged process: applicants first request and complete a capital project summary template, and the trustees then decide whether to invite a full application. Applicants are strongly recommended to read the Grant Strategy and Guidance Notes, available on the Trust's website.
