In other areas, similar sponsorship funds have helped a number of local projects near wind farm sites, from heated blankets for community groups; equipment for parent and toddlers’ clubs; bolstering the running of a local community-focused organisation to garden projects for schools and monies for a traditional music festival.

Apply before 5pm on Monday 18 November for consideration. The successful applicants will be notified by Friday 13 December.
